Meeting started at 7:10 pm.


Rehearsals: Kasandra introduced herself and role in working with the orchestra. All students need to check-in with a front office volunteer before rehearsal begins.  Kasandra's office hours are M-W 9 am - 12. You can reach her at 812.671.0435. Drop offs that are not during that time can be done Tues - Sat using the Digital Arts entrance, back door in the drop box.

Calendar: there was discussion and review of calendars from various school districts and ensembles. The parents agreed that Sunday's were the best day for November and February concerts, and that Monday should be the final concert.  November 13, 7 pm at IU Alumni Hall • February 26, 7 pm at Waldron Auditorium • Monday, April 30, 7 pm at Ivy Tech location

Volunteers: Jill Bryniarski is the volunteer coordinator and Parent Advisory Board President.  She discussed different volunteer jobs and how important it is to have parents involved. She will use VolunteerSpot to manage volunteers - and anyone interested, should email info@mayomusic.org to get added to the VolunteerSpot.

Tuition and Fundraising:  Tuition was due. Forms were available so if you missed this, please fill out the form and turn in next week. Financial aid forms are also due.  If you haven't given your t-shirt size, please get that to Kasandra asap.  Fundraising options include ad sales and SCRIP.

Auction: There will be an auction at the November concert. Donations are being accepted!  Please drop off at the main office. We may use an online service called Bidding For Good.  

Move: MAYO has partnered with Ivy Tech and will be moving symphony rehearsals to a new location in the middle of October.  Jazz will move to the Ellettsville location!
