About The International Musical Arts Youth Orchestra Festival is a collaboration between the Musical Arts Youth Orchestra and various other youth-oriented music groups, including most recently the Indiana University String Academy, the Hong Kong International School, the Matan Arts and Culture Project, and the Keshet Eilon Music Center in Israel. For the past two years, young musicians from France, Hong Kong and Israel have arrived in Bloomington, Indiana and have stayed with families of MAYO and IU String Academy members, attending rehearsals, concerts, and master classes. They join with the MAYO orchestra in a gala culminating concert. Last year, the event featured internationally rennowned violinist, Vadim Gluzman at the Indiana University Auditorium playing Khachaturian Concerto. |
