The Second International Musical Arts Youth Orchestra Festival
is a collaboration between the Musical Arts Youth
Orchestra, the Indiana University String Academy, the
Hong Kong International School, and the Keshet Eilon
Music Center in Israel.
Young musicians from France, Hong Kong and Israel will
arrive in Bloomington on March 28 and will spend the weekend
with families of MAYO and IU String Academy members,
attending rehearsals and
master classes. They will
join with the MAYO orchestra, under the baton of Music
Director Thomas Loewenheim, in a gala culminating
concert, featuring the internationally known violinist,
Vadim Gluzman, at the Indiana University Auditorium on Sunday,
April 1 at 7 pm. |
