Please register for an audition time.  We will do our best to find a time that best matches your request. 

Questions about your audition?  MAYO will make this as friendly a process as possible.  If you cannot play an excerpt, play an etude or your favorite piece.

SYMPHONY AUDITIONS:
New Members:  Have you played with MAYO before?  If not, you need to schedule a new member audition.  These auditions take place in May and again in early Fall.

Returning Member: If you currently play with MAYO and auditioned for your spot this year, you can elect to keep your place by completing a RETURNING MEMBER contract.  You will not need to audition again as long as you return your contract by the end of the season.

Returning Member Seating Auditions:  If you participated in the new member auditions, or you are a current MAYO member who wants to try out for a different ensemble or principal spot, then you need to register for a seating audition.  Seating auditions only take place in the fall. Registration is required.

JAZZ AUDITIONS (it's a jam):
Pick a date that works best for you.  Jazz students all arrive at 6:30 pm with their instrument, ready to play with the ensemble. Placements are made during that time. The director will give you an ensemble schedule soon after the audition jam.
