The Musical Arts Youth Orchestra receives $500 for the live young composers competition playoff.  This year's event was held in honor of Martin Luther King, Jr. Day, on Monday, January 25 at 6:30 pm.  Over 175 guests and musicians gathered to hear the finalist's pieces.  Jonathan Sokol's piece, "Twice the Rising Sun" was selected by our community & professional panel of adjudicators (everyone had a vote!!).
