This year, MAYO produced three concerts in the "Elements" season that included works by Beethoven, Haydn, and Rossini at the IU Alumni Hall on November 23, 2011 and at the Ivy Tech Waldron Arts Center Auditorium on February 26, 2012. Ending the season with a "bang" is the MAYO Jazz Combo performing a family-friendly hour-long session to celebrate National Jazz Month at the Ivy Tech Waldron Arts Center Auditorium on Monday, April 30 from 7-8 pm.

MAYO performed two preview concerts with an educational focus at the Monroe County Public Library in February and in April.  Both preview concerts allowed children of all ages to experience music first hand by holding a violin or electric guitar.  This program will continue in 2012-13.

Children at the Boys & Girls Clubs in Ellettsville and Bloomington received lessons and classes in violin and beginner jazz.  These programs were well attended and held in both the fall and spring.  Well done girls and boys!  We hope to see you in the MAYO ranks soon.
